Reflexology is a complementary therapy which is performed on the feet. The therapist uses their thumbs and fingers to apply gentle pressure to specific reflex points that are traditionally believed to correspond to the organs and structures of the body.
It is a wonderfully relaxing, non-invasive treatment, which is suitable for most people of all ages. It works on an individual basis and may alleviate and improve symptoms such as everyday stress and tension.
Your session takes place in a calm, welcoming environment, where I will discuss your medical history during your initial consultation. Sessions are performed on a comfortable couch where you can lie down or sit up. Clients enjoy the hands-on experience of reflexology as a relaxing part of their self-care routine. It offers dedicated time to slow down, unwind and fully relax which can help to improve mood, aid sleep and relieve tension.

Manual Lymphatic drainage (MLD) is a very light, rhythmic treatment, which helps direct fluid back to the lymph nodes. Unlike conventional massage, it uses a very light pressure and follows a specific sequence of movements. It is deeply relaxing and clients usually fall asleep during their treatment! It can be beneficial to most people, as it works with the immune system and circulatory system.
If you are recovering following surgery and are interested in MLD, I offer individual appointments to discuss your circumstances, treatment history and whether a session falls within my professional training and scope of practice. Your consultation will include consideration of any advice provided by your surgical team, your stage of recovery and the suitability of treatment.
If you are interested in learning more about manual lymphatic drainage, please get in touch to discuss the treatment, what the session involves and whether it may be suitable for you. There are some contraindications for treatment, so you may be advised to seek guidance from your surgeon or healthcare professional before proceeding.
